Crate Paper | Sight Seeing

The new Oasis collection from Crate Paper is so much fun!  I've been waiting for the opportunity to use it, and I thought it would be perfect with one of the photos from a recent trip to Texas.  When I'm on vacation, I like to snap photos of the scenery as well as the humans.  There are always interesting buildings and landscapes to photograph when you're somewhere new.

The wood grain pattern on the backside of the Spring Break patterned paper is one of my favorites in the collection.  I love how it creates several geometric shapes...triangles, squares and diamonds to be exact.  I decided to tilt my photo and title along the diagonal line in the center of the paper, to add some interest to the layout.

I used a mix of embellishments from the Ephemera Pack, Chipboard Sheet, Buttons and Puffy Stickers to embellish the layout.  I also love the word phrase stickers from the Sticker sheet, so I also layered several of those on the layout.  The tilted look of the photo and title with the other horizontal embellishments on the layout, really create a fun look.

I finished the layout with a bit of machine stitching.  I always love the texture that stitching adds to a layout, whether it's a little or a lot!

If you haven't had a chance to grab the Oasis collection, it's now available in stores.  You can find it now, in the Scrapbook.com store!
