Make it Work! And I decided that would be a great title for my layout for the 2 Hour Challenge on Club CK this past Wednesday on Balance. Because I am sure that most of you would agree, no matter what our role in life, we somehow find a way to make it work. My journaling on this pages reads: "Being a child of God, Wife, Mom, Daughter, Sister, Friend, and Scrapbooker comes with a lot of pressure. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. You take three steps forward and two steps back, but with the help of prayer, family, and friends I find a way to...make it work!"
I used a fun technique on this page that I saw on Pinterest...stamping with yarn! Who knew??!! It was really easy and a lot of fun and I love the look it created. Just wrap your yarn around a block. I used one of my small acrylic blocks. Cover with your ink color and stamp away! Can't get any easier than that. The flower on this page was also created from a pin I found on Pinterest. There are just too many good ideas on there!! :)
My layout is based on the 9.29 sketch from Sketchy Thursdays - and a little side note, be sure to check out Sketchy Thursdays on on October 6 to see my first reveal as the GDT for October!! - and I took some liberties with this sketch. The idea of the sketch is still there, but I just spread things out a little and used paper strips instead of squares.
