I have to say that I am pretty proud of myself lately. It is no secret that I LOVE sketches and I depend heavily on great blogs like Frosted Designs, Sketchy Thursdays, Sassy Lil' Sketches, Creative Scrappers, etc., etc., etc.! But I find myself getting a little more creative these days, since I have joined several design teams. I have actually been designing my own sketches before starting a layout!! I know a lot of ladies just like to sit down and start sticking and gluing and they turn out some amazing pages. I HAVE to have something visible in front of me to stay on track with the idea I have in my head. That doesn't mean it always follows the sketch 100%, but it gives me a road map of what I want to do.
This was a fun layout that I did for the Issue Challenge that is hosted by Erika each week at Club CK. The challenge this week, was to use Apples on your layout. I had some of the new, adorable Finally Fall papers from Bella Blvd and I knew they were perfect for this page. I also did this layout for the Weekend Warm-Up #15 at ScrapFIT, which is to use Circles. There is, of course, the large circle on my page and I punched several circles and cut them in half to create the scalloped border along my photos. I also created a visual triangle using the large circle of the tree, the circle in my title, and the circle at the bottom covered in baker's twine.
If you would like to save and use my sketch for future inspiration, please feel free to do so. All I ask is to mention the sketch is from me and link back to my blog.
