New York visits the South

Please click HERE if you are looking for the Design by Diana Blog Hop.  You have until April 30 to participate in the Hop and link you layout back to Diana's Blog.

Last year for Vacation Bible School, our theme was "Big Apple Adventure".  All of our decorations for the week were a take on things from New York.  Our kids LOVE VBS and usually ask me all year round when the next one is coming up!!  :)  I will admit, that I am usually pretty slow in getting the pictures scrapped from the week, though.  I usually teach 2nd or 3rd Grade, so it is hard to get photos of our own kids sometimes, since they are in the younger grades.  And my camera doesn't always take the greatest inside photos, so it usually takes me a while to get inspired to scrap these pages.

So, I was really excited to see our April One Page Sketch for Sketch Support!!  I knew it would be perfect for the photos I had from this past year's VBS.

Miraculously, I stuck very close to the sketch this time!!  :)  I decided to add border strips of Smash tape to the top and bottom of my page, because I have this weird thing, where I usually like to "close in" my pages.  :)  I hope you will come over and visit Sketch Support this week!!  We are only on our second day of reveals for this Sketch and I have seen some amazing work so far and I'm looking forward to see what my other fellow DT members have in store for the rest of the week!!

  1. The colors match your photos perfectly and love the apple accents :) I don't know how I'd break out of my periodic lost mojo ruts without Sketch Support!
