American Crafts | So Grateful Card Set

It's getting close to one of my favorite holidays...Thanksgiving!  It's always so fun to get together with family, and of course, eat all of those yummy Thanksgiving goodies!  It's also a great time to share what you are thankful for, and that's just what the Design Team at American Crafts has being doing all this week!  I shared two cards on the American Crafts Blog yesterday, for So Grateful week, and wanted to stop in and share them with you today!

How to: Cut several different patterned papers and place them over your card base to create a patchwork look. Die cut a leaf shape and cut a square around the negative image. Place the negative leaf on the left hand side of your card. Add a sentiment to the top and bottom of your card using the Oakleaf Thickers. Machine stitch through your Thickers. Remove the paperclip from the chevron arrow in the Decorative Paper Clip pack and use it as an embellishment on your card. Add one of the Matte Puffy Stickers to the center of the negative leaf image.

How to: Cut a 4.25x5.5" base from the Harvest patterned paper to place over your cardstock card base. Trace three leaf shapes onto the paper, using a die cut leaf and brown pen. Add a Photo Overlay from the Autumn Crisp collection over the front of your card and add machine stitching to hold it in place. Create a cluster for your sentiment using pieces from the Die Cut Cardstock Shapes, Decorative Button, and Matte Puffy Accent.

Hip Kit Club | Christmas Pajamas

I'm so excited to share my first layout and card, using the November 2014 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits from Hip Kit Club!  This month's Kit will definitely get you in the Christmas spirit and if you're looking for even more Christmas fun, then make sure you check out the December Documented 2014 Kit.

 

There are so many fun papers and embellishments included in this month's Kits, and I couldn't wait to get started on my first layout! The Holiday Quilt patterned paper from Elle's Studio, just had to be fussy cut! I used the diamond shapes to create the background look on White cardstock, from the Cardstock Add-On. And I wanted to incorporate the Evalicious Gold Misc. Shapes, so I added them as a second diamond pattern to some of the fussy cut shapes. I used one of the large tags from the American Crafts Decorative Tags pack and layered it behind my photo. To balance out my page, I added the large Studio Calico wood veneer numbers for the date of my photo. And I finished my page by adding some splatters of spray mist!

The November 2014 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits are perfect for creating Christmas cards. I started with a Red cardstock base, from the Cardstock Add-On Kit, and then covered it with the Elle's Studio Countdown patterned paper. I wanted to add some interest to the background of the card, so I made strips using some of the Elle's Studio patterned paper, Pebbles patterned paper and American Crafts Glitter Tape. Then for some extra shine, I used the Studio Calico star rub-ons, before adding one of the American Crafts tags, to create my card sentiment.

Echo Park | Tradition

It's time to share a new layout for Echo Park using the Home for the Holidays collection!  I love how quick and easy it is to put together a layout with the Echo Park collections, and I put this layout together in just over 30 minutes!

 

I decided to use several strips of paper on my layout, to give me a starting point for my page design.  Then I wanted to work with the Holiday Tag Die Set, to add a fun design element to my page.  I cut three of the tags in different patterned papers from the 6x6 Paper Pad.  The tags were perfect for embellishing with the Chipboard Accents and stickers from the collection kit.

Hip Kit Club | All the Things I Love

Happy weekend friends!  I hope you are having a great weekend and hopefully getting in a little crafting!  I wanted to pop in and share a card with you, that I created for Hip Kit Club using the October 2014 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits.  I actually lost count, of how many projects I created with the October Kit, because there is so much product, it seems to never run out!!

 
I love that the October 2014 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits included the Ephemera Pack from the Crate Paper Open Book collection. All of the bits are great for layering on your projects. I used several pieces to create a quick card. The dark Gray cardstock, made a great base for my card and I added the fun polka dot patterned paper over it. I finished my card by layering bits from the Ephemera Pack, adding some stickers from the MME sticker sheet, stamping with the Elle's Studio Sycamore Lane stamp, and some messy stitching.

American Crafts | Always Do Happy

Just when I think Amy Tangerine has come out with my favorite collection, it's time for a new one and it becomes my new favorite!  :)  The Stitched collection has become a fast, new favorite!  And the Design Team is sharing projects this week on the American Crafts Blog for Stitched Week. I was so excited to have my first layout using this collection, up on the AC Blog yesterday, and wanted to stop in and share it with you today!

 

Here's how I put the layout together:

Trim the Thrifted patterned paper to 11x11 inches and adhere to White cardstock base. Cut three different patterned papers and place them behind the Wood Frames. Create a loose grid design with your photos, the Wood Frames, and a Die Cut Tag from the Stitched collection. Use the Comrade Embroidery Stencil Kit to add criss cross stitching to the top and bottom of your layout. Embellish each of the Wood Frames with Bits and Stickers. Add the After Glow Thickers to the bottom of the Die Cut Tag to complete your title. Add finishing embellishments to the layout and some machine or hand stitching.

PageMaps & American Crafts!

The Design Team from American Crafts joined up with PageMaps for the month of November!  We received some amazing Sketches from Becky, and I was super excited to pair my Sketch with the new Stitched collection from Amy Tangerine!  I wanted to stop in today and share my layout and the PageMaps Sketch with you!

 
I really loved this Sketch and I stayed fairly close to the design.  I layered several of the patterned papers, wood frame and stitched tag from the Stitched collection.  And of course, I had to add some machine stitching!
