This time of year, I am reminded to be thankful for all the things in my life. ScrapFIT wants you to take the time to create a layout that is dedicated to something or many things, that you have to be thankful for. I am sure that most of you, like me, were able to snap a few photos last week during Thanksgiving. But this layout doesn't have to technically use photos from Thanksgiving...just the things you are thankful for. I chose to use some of the photos from our Thanksgiving day for my layout. We normally have our family get together at my grandmothers, but her health has failed and for a while we moved the gathering to my Uncle's home. This year, my sister volunteered to host it at her house and we had a great time. She has two young children also, so the kids had toys to play with and were able to go outside and play on the swingset and down by the pond. The weather was beautiful and we just had a great day all around...and some yummy Thanksgiving food!!
I also had something else to be thankful for last week...I got to order a Silhouette Cameo!!! I was so excited! I had planned to wait until sometime in January to order my machine, so I could use my Christmas and birthday money to purchase it. But I am just not a patient person and when I decide there's something that I want, I just can't rest until I find a way to get it!!! So I started hinting around to hubby about it, but he wasn't taking the bait. Well a situation came up, and someone was interested in purchasing my Expression, which I was planning on selling anyway once I got the Cameo. I finally got the go ahead to just sell the Cricut and put that money towards the Cameo and then pay the rest of the money, once I received it as Christmas and birthday gifts. Needless to say, I was on cloud 9 at this point!! I ordered the bundle from Amazon and it arrived this past Monday. I have already been using it like crazy this past week. It might be safe to say, that I've used mine more in the past 5 days than most people, who have had one for years!! :) The quality of the cuts are so amazing and it will cut images that my Expression would have never been able to cut. I used it on this layout for the title, Polaroid frame, leaves and the word "thankful".
You will definitely want to come work out with us this month, for the opportunity to win the December FITkit from Paper Issues! Just head over to ScrapFIT and link up your layout, for the chance to win!!
