Let's Get Trendy Now!3 Textured Layers & FREE Printables

Happy Friday!  I am excited to share my project with you today, for the Let's Get Trendy Now!3 Textured Layers reveal!  I am so honored that Yvonne Yam invited me to be one of the many talented Guest Designers, along with the Three Cool Chicks...Yvonne, Amy Tsuruta, and Julie Tucker-Wolek.  I hope you have had a chance to visit the Let's Get Trendy Now!3 Blog this week and see all of the fun trends that have been highlighted.

And of course, today, it's all about Textured Layers.  Here's a look at what I created:

Summer days come early when you live in the South and those temps heat up early on in the year!  So I've already had plenty of Summery photos to start working with on my layouts.  And I just had to have some of the amazing Summer products that are out there right now, including the Down by the Shore collection from Fancy Pants and cute Summer themed Flair Buttons!  I used these products to create a layered tag, that could be used as is, or you could also add it to a layout for a fun embellishment on your page.  I started with a large shipping tag and misted over the tag with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine.  Then I layered one of the FP patterned papers over the tag.  Next, I used my Cameo to cut the Chevron pattern from Navy Blue paper and added it as my next layer.  I wanted to give my tag some texture, so I embossed the Sun shape that I cut on my Cameo and added a Flair button to the center for extra dimension.  And adding a bit of wood veneers and baker's twine, is always a great way to give your projects a kick of extra texture!  And I couldn't forget a little "title" for my tag, so I used one of the Free Cut Files from Chic Tags.
